Performance Logging Services (PLS) is an innovative software performance monitoring tool which tracks performance statistics on timing and buffer usage. PLS can monitor performance requirements in real time and uses very little memory and CPU. The tool also has the capability of starting or stopping other software tools when performance requirements are out of specification to assist in troubleshooting. PLS is used in the Checkout and Launch Control System on the Space Shuttle program.
